The leather bum bag »Mel« (M) is a classic belt bag with lots of compartments and is perfect for everyday use. It is particularly practical when travelling, when you want to keep your valuables safely stowed away but always have them to hand. The design dates back to the late 1980s and was made world famous by the Californian skater movement. The street-style hip bag is currently experiencing a major revival. With the »Mel« (M) model, we have reduced this design classic to the essentials and given it a contemporary and grown-up look with our leather.
The compact bum bag can be worn around the hips or across the shoulder or cross-body. The bag is currently available in sizes (M) & (L). The bum bag can be individually adjusted to the waist (90-120cm or clothing size M-XL). The model has 2 zipped compartments at the front and 1 zipped compartment at the back. The belt is opened and closed with a metal snap fastener.
The bum bag »Mel« (M) is made almost entirely by hand. Only natural and sustainable materials are used. All stress points are additionally reinforced.

Our lining fabric is made from pure cotton twill, a soft and natural material. For the Outlaw collection, we have developed an inspiring signature print featuring old nautical charts that gives each piece a special touch. This high-quality cotton lining not only offers comfort, but also a stylish addition to our handmade bags.

We founded the DRAKENSBERG label because we want to inspire people to recognize the true value of travel and to strive for it. To see the journey as a destination and to grow from it.
